A night of good food, snacks & movie at home...

Hanging up their crafts on the trees...
Cheering with the sweet sparking drinks...
Kiddos fast asleep now as they can't wait to open their pressies in the morning...

Our Christmas 2010

This Christmas, just don't feel like doing anything, not even cooking. We had our dinner at New York New York and it was great! On Christmas morning, as usual, the kids woke up early to open their presents. We may not be doing anything special but we had a great time on our own. Bliss...

The following day, we had a post Christmas barbecue with my in-law family. Not many picture coz everyone was busy eating & chatting.

Took this pic at the party... The height difference between the eldest grandson & the youngest one. Wonder if my boy will be as tall as his cousin...

New Year Eve & New Year Day

31st Dec 2009

We didn't do much for the past few days as Beanie still recovering from flu.  He fell sick right after Christmas (26th Dec) and visited the PD for the first time (for flu).  Z fell sick first then followed by him.  I was glad that both didn't have any fever.

We wanted to watch the Chipmunk Movie and again we couldn't get the tickets. Not to disappoint our kids again, we bought the ticket for the next day.  Very kiasu right?

We spent some time at the arcade and I realised throughout the holiday, my LZ didn't go to the arcade at all!  They have been 'busied' playing FB games, they knew that once school reopened, they won't be able to do that often.  I managed to get a cookbook on risotto and after which we had a tea break.  LZ were happily talking about the game cards and Beanie was asleep in the pram.

For that night, I cooked seafood risotto!  Didn't expect it took such a long time to cook and we had late dinner...  LZ didn't like it but LZdaddy loves it... Haiz...  Tough to please all... Not going to give up and shall try other risotto dishes with meat which I think my kids would prefer.

Anyway, it is a bliss to spend quality time with my loved ones, minus the dinner.

1st Jan 2010

Finally we get to watch the Chipmunk Movie!   LZ enjoyed the movie and Beanie fell asleep again.. Must be the medicine or he loves sleeping in the cinema?!  Hehe...

LZdaddy suggested having steamboat for dinner and we all agreed.  We went to Sheng Siong, which the kids been there only once, I think.  The were fascinated by the seafood.  "Oh! mommy!  See see!  They have baby shark!"  "Daddy daddy!  Can we try catching it?"  etc...  I think my kids looked like they have never been out before! Haha....  The staffs are excellent!  Especially the auntie who helped us choose the clams and crab.

In the evening,  we had steamboat prepared by LZdaddy.  Yummy!  See the clams L was scooping?  I can't remember the name of it, but it was very tasty!  LZdaddy steamed it with garlic & chili padi (no chili for the kids).   We had it during Christmas too and for the past few days.  It sold out very fast and while we were at the store, there were many people buying it too.

This coming Monday, it will be a new routine for me and as well as for Z.  Not much changes for L, except that she will have a new form teacher and some new classmates.  I don't have to worry much about her coz she is more independent.  He will be spending longer hours in school and in a bigger environment. For me, I don't have to go to 2 different schools to pick them and at different timing.  Beanie will be able to have a longer nap time in the morning and I can't wait to enroll him in gym class.  Hopefully I can squeeze in some time to exercise or more time for FB games?!  Hehehe...

There is something that I forgot to note down about our Christmas.  LZ made a card each for LZdaddy and I. Guess what?  They attached a HONG BAO with the cards for us!  What makes it special is that they wrapped it with white paper and with their own pocket money!  This is the FIRST time my babies gave us money!  Aiyo.... My babies know how to melt our heart man!

Our Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve

Our friends came over for gathering.  Not many pics of the day coz I was very busy, not cooking though. 2 of us went to get the food while the daddies stayed with the kids.

We had sushi, fried whole chicken, honey baked ham, seafood, cheese, wine etc...LZdaddy bought  big bag of clams from Sheng Siong and steamed it with garlic & chilli!  It was a feast!  We ate non-stop for few hours..

My girlfriend and I prepared goody bags for the kids and it was a great idea!  The kids loves it!  I think I would do that again next year if we have kids coming to our house.

It was Beanie's FIRST Christmas!  He doesn't what it means but when he is older, we will explain to him.  He was sitting with us (adult) most of the time coz the only thing he was interested in was eat & eat & EAT! Hahaha...  My friends were shocked to see the amt of food & snacks he ate!  Hahaha...

The gathering ended past midnight...  By then Beanie & L were very sleepy except Z.  He was so awake, yakking non-stop.  But the moment he hit the sack, he fell asleep.

Christmas Day

My Babies can't wait to open their presents! The first thing they did after greeting us was to open all of it!  Hahaha...

Christmas Party - For The Young Ones

Every year before Christmas, LZ's eldest cousin always organize a Christmas party.  Even after she left for Australia for her studies, she will be back to do that.  This year, no difference from other years, she is back for Christmas again and LZ are at the age that they 'qualified' to attend the party.  Hehehe...

Past few years, they were too younger to join in and now they are thrilled when their big sister invited them. They were told to get a present each for the gift exchange.   The very next day after they were invited, LZ couldn't wait any longer and we went to get the presents.  We shopped a long time coz they wanted to get something that their cousins would love to receive.  I thought that was very thoughtful of them.

While LZ were having fun with their cousins, we had a nice dinner with Beanie at a Chinese restaurant.  It is so rare that we spend time alone with him.  I think he enjoyed all the attentions from us.

They played games like musical chairs, watch movie and the highlight was the gift exchange.. Their cousins' pet dog has a Christmas gift too!  While the older ones had red wine, LZ had ribena!

We met my BIL at the mall and he invited us to join in the party.  But we would rather not since it was a party for the younger generation and I'm sure they will enjoy more without the 'older' ones around.  Gosh!  It makes me sound so old!  Hehehe...

Their cousins took very good care of LZ, especially Z. They each had a gorgor & jiejie to take care of them.  LZ enjoyed the party very much and they are looking forward to next year party!
