This morning, my little one insisted wearing this CNY hat to school.  Isn't it too early for that? When I picked him up, he was still having it on!

Annual Thanksgiving Concert 2011

It was Beanie FIRST concert but it was a disaster.   Like I said in this post, the teacher lack bonding with the kids so that explained why.  To be fair, it could be because the toddlers were having stage fright.  Most of them froze on stage, perhaps only 2 or 3 danced.  The organizer had to cancel the other item.

I could see his relieved face when he was leaving the stage.  It's ok my little one, hope you will do better the next time ok? ♥

Beanie @ 33 Months

Beanie @ 33 Months

My little boy is growing up way too fast...  He is getting more independent that most of the time, he wants to do things on his own or I can leave him alone for quite some time so that I carry on with my chores.  Instead of him having separation anxiety, I am probably the one!  Haha...   Ironically, he has to sleep with us in the night.  No matter how many times we carry him back to his bed after he falls asleep, the next day, we often find him snuggling next to me.

He still likes to arrange his toys, be it in a straight line or in this manner.

See what I mean?  When we go for buffet, he wants to take his own food too.  Nowadays, he usually tell us what he wants to eat.

Just like most of the kids, Beanie loves Macdonald!  Burger/nuggets, corn & his milk.

He is able to tell me what happened in school.  For instance, why he got the stickers. He followed instructions and behaved and was rewarded with these stickers.  He likes to tell me what engines are on the stickers.

He still likes to doodle.  Guess what is this?  Ant! He said ant has many legs.

He tried to draw fire engine but can't do it.  So he often asks the rest to draw for him.  This pic is his favourite now, pic drawn by L.

He loves playing games with LZ.  Knowing he doesn't know how to play chess, LZ often play zingo with him.  He loves this game! A great bonding activity for my little ones.

Look Who"s Here?

An event was going on the childcare (which is also a church compound).  A cow & some rabbits were here for a visit! Little one had the chance to the touch the cow during school hour.  Z did too when we pick Beanie up but L was like "Eeee!" and didn't want to touch the cow.  Hehe...

Piano Exam Grade 1 - Z

His very FIRST piano exam!  Boy!  He's was very nervous! He did have a mock exam prior to this but somehow, it's different. After learning piano on & off for some time (due to his fractures), my boy finally went for the exam. Phew!  

The 3 pieces that he played were Minuetto by James Hook, A Legend by John York and The Secret Garden by Alan Haughton.   Z was pretty upset that his teacher did not tell him clearly about the aural part, which he thinks he's gonna lost marks on that.   He thinks he will do well for scales & arpeggios and sight reading. Son, I know you tried your best, even if you can't pass well, it's ok. ♥

She Missed It Again...

*Sigh* Another course that  my girl will missed, Micromedia Dreamweaver course...  First it was the leadership and now this.  It's just her fate to miss all these courses that the school has...

Withdrawal Letter

Finally submitted the withdrawal letter on the 10th Nov for Beanie.  I think he's happy coz the school has not been the same ever since his previous English teacher left.   He can't bond with the new teacher and I can't see the new teacher trying to bond with any of the kids and she has been them for half year. Some of the kiddos already left or planning to leave.

We actually plan to submit the letter only at the end of the month but we don't see the point of him going to the childcare since LZ will be at home during the month long school holiday.  I'm sure he will be happier being at home with his siblings.

He will probably miss the waterplay and playing with his good friend, Joseph.  We can arrange waterplay at home for him and meet up with Joseph since we stay near to each other.

My Birthday Presents

I thought I should write another post about the special gift my kiddos gave me.

I posted a pic of my t- shirt from them in my birthday post, here's some with clearer pics.  On top of that, my sweetie gal  gave me a 'coupon book'.  A 'book' that I can claim massages, chores etc...  So sweet isn't it?  Not that I can't get them to do all that!  Haha!

From LZdaddy, I got what I wanted, a camera!  Thank you my loves!!  I'm blessed! ♥

Orientation Day - Beanie

We have registered Beanie at a new school next year and today was the orientation day.  We missed the talk session but managed to get there in time to pay for the fees & uniforms.  I doubt we missed much as both LZ used to attend this kindy so we know more or less what's going on in the school.

I hope my little one will enjoy the new school as much as his siblings.

Cycling Fun

A lovely morning with my older babies, or rather a sweaty morning for us.  Hehe...  Z already knew how to cycle so I told L it's time for her to pick up cycling too..  It took me quite a while to convince to try it out.  If we had more time, I'm sure she will be able to learn it but we ran out of time, it was time to pick Beanie up.  

Subject Combination & Higher Chinese

Based on L's result, the school recommended her to take Higher Chinese next year.   I wasn't very keen for her to take an additional paper next year.  What if she failed terribly and affect her moral and interest in Chinese?  She has been in the Higher Chinese class all these years but I am not confident that she will do well as paper will be much tougher.

After talking to L and one of the Chinese teachers in school, we decided to let her try.   She knows she will have to work extremely hard for her Chinese. One good news is that she made it to the top class again!  We are soooo PROUD of her! ♥

A little update on Z...  He made it to the 2nd top class!   He did very well for all subjects except Chinese.  Because of that, he was very disappointed he can't be in the top class.   We were rather shocked with his Chinese result, as all this time he was doing fine.  Well, top class or not,  my kids will have to work hard to strive for better results next year.

Children's Day Chess Challenge 2011

When I signed my kids up for this competition, I knew that it will be very tough.   My kids are relatively new to competitions and especially big ones.  Just hope that they don't get zero point, knowing that they would be very disappointed.  Seems like I always worry about them getting zero point!  Hehe...   Anyway,  what was most important was they had fun (despite a little dispute) with their friends!  Afterall, this competition is for Children's Day!

 We were very early and the hall was very empty so took a few shots of my kids.

 During the lunch break, L played with her good friends, R & C.  Z played with the 2 Ds and read books.

 I always like to take pics of my kids while they are competing.  So focus!  See those men behind?  They are the veterans!

 One of the upsetting rounds for L..  She was supposed to win but somehow she ended up taking the other color piece (that lost).  A BIG lesson learnt for her.  She was probably too nervous & excited when she knew she was winning.  Hugs hugs my girl...  We were so happy the round after that, she beat a girl in 7 moves!  Yeah, she was pissed coz she lost a point earlier!

During one of the breaks, this uncle played with Z.  He was very happy when uncle said he was good but too bad they didn't have time to finish the game coz the next round was about to start.
