I remembered few years back, L never liked baked beans. She started eating it only after I went to her ex-childcare center to teach her class (K1) how to make toasted bread with baked beans. Recently, we went marketing and she mentioned it so I thought why not cook something with baked beans for her bento?

Haiz... She didn't really like it but she tried her best to finish it. She came home with the container full of beans! She actually spent time 'digging' the macaroni and the seafood! My boy liked it though and I find it tasty too. I guess she only likes the cheesy toast baked beans... I am not going to give up! I will keep on trying till she likes baked beans just like some other food stuffs.

Nevertheless, she is much better than before. She is more adventurous now when comes to trying new food and taking it well.

Last night, L told me she wanted to eat Japanese food the next day. LZdaddy was the one doing marketing for me since I was already back home. I think he had a hard time trying to look for the stuffs for me, he knows how to eat but buying the ingredients?! A little tough for him and I thought he will flare up running to and fro between the Japanese supermarket and Cold storage. Phew! He didn't!

Again, it was L's idea for me to prepare hand roll for her. I think we should go Japanese restaurant more often for ideas since my babies love Japanese food. Hehehe...

Bento #71 - Something Blue

Today L went to the zoo with the rest of the P1s and she told me she had a great time at the zoo. Instead of just walking around, they were given things to do, like writing down what they saw and descriptions of the animals.

Everything in the bento today was upon her request except the jellies. I was so busy that I forgot the raspberries that she requested. I didn't realised it till she left the house and it was too late.

L was very excited when she saw the 'blue' egg this morning and so were her classmates. There were wondering why her egg so 'special'. They all excitedly told their teacher about the egg and showed it to her. My girl told me next time, I should make the ribbon pink! Huh?! How to just make the ribbon pink?
