Lunch @ Claypot Fun

We wanted to have ramen which was located at East Coast but realized it was took over by Claypot Fun.  Since it was new, we gave it a try.  Quite a cozy place for lunch or dinner and we enjoyed our meal.

My Lovely Sweetie

I am very blessed and thank GOD for a beautiful daughter, not only that, she is of great help to me.  She may be only 10 (in December) but she is mature for her age.  At times, I have to tell myself that coz I expect more from her and go overboard with the expectations.  I set a higher expectation of her coz her brothers look up to her and learn stuffs from her.

She dotes on her brothers, filial, helpful, caring etc... The list goes on & on...  Of coz there are times she drives me NUTS!  But when I think of the things she did, I forgive her and again, I have to remind myself she is only a child...

We love spending time together. ♥  Sometimes both of us sneak out when the brothers take naps and daddy is around.  It may just be going to the mall or supermarkets, but we treasure the times we have together.

I love it when she shares 'secrets' with me.  I hope she will be more than just a daughter to me...  I hope she will treat me as her good friend as well.  I'm very glad that she shares it with me, be it mischievous in school or who she likes in school.... I long for a daughter, even before marriage and to have such a relationship with her and am glad it is like this now... ♥

She is such sweet talker and a very thoughtful gal.  Every other day, I will receive compliments from her.    Isn't she lovely? ♥ "你是我的肚子里的一条虫" That's what I always tell her (and likewise too), she often knows what I am thinking through my eyes or my actions.  Yeah, I don't have to tell her what's I have in mind.  She loves to hand made stuffs for us too and often use recycling stuffs, that shows she love the environment.
Her relationships with her 2 brothers are similar but yet quite different, maybe because Z is about her age and Beanie is much younger than her.  Nevertheless, she dotes on them and she never fails to show her affections to them. ♥  Perhaps sometimes, in a different way.  She gives in to Beanie all the time but not Z. And yes, they do fight! I mean literally fight!  Sometimes I give up being a mediator, I would open the door and tell them "You guys want to fight? Go out and fight!"  That actually stop them from fighting!  Haha...

When Beanie wakes up (on weekends), very often she will prepare easy breakfast for him, like cereal with milk or whatever he ask for that she is able to do it.  She also helps him pack his toys or read books with him etc.

For Z, they chat very often especially before bedtime, confide to each other, play chess etc. I know she loves him because of the things she does.  She writes notes to him, keep him company when he's scared and she even wrote a song for him!
Best Bro

We might fight almost everyday, I may call you names, but I luv ya but I donno how to say it so I'm singing it to ya....  We have war everyday.  I'm so sorry, I jsut donna how to control my temper....
(Chorus)
But I wanna tell you, you are the best bro in the whole world, you are the best bro one could wish for.... Whoa..... (X2) You'll shine!!
I'm so sorry I mocked you.... I luv ya bro....  You should be famous for being such a good boy.  And when we are having 'war', I look into your eyes and can tell you really wanna stop.
(Chorus X3)
I LUV YOU!!
Something that I have to note down... She was selected for a leadership programme at the beginning of this year (think was around March), but my dear girl thinking that the time clashed with her swimming test and told the teacher she didn't want it. Haiz...  From what I know, this is a very good programme and the teacher definitely sees the potential in her.. It was too late when she told teacher she changed her mind.

In school, she is doing pretty well, getting along with her friends but still talking too much.  She was also appointed as monitor for certain subjects (different subjects has different monitor).  We know she can achieves better, even the teachers say that.

Recently, she completed her NAFA test and she got a GOLD! It is something like a sport test, running, standing broad jump etc...  Well done my girl!

Sweetie, mommy wants you to know that I love you as much as your brothers.  Having 2 younger brothers doesn't mean my love for you is any lesser. You are forever mommy's little girl and I love you so much Sweetie...

Bento #273 - Raincoat Girl

Another rainy day again but instead of making soupy lunch or porridge, I made this!  It started to rain this morning when I sent Beanie to school and he wore his raincoat so that gave me the idea to made this little girl with raincoat for L.

Beanie's breakfast this morning....

Had a minor accident this morning at Beanie's school, one of the mommies reversed her car without checking, I horned at her and yet she continued.  There wasn't any space for me to reverse further and so she bumped into my car... Haiz...

Beanie @ 29 Months

Little one has been helping with simple chores besides using magic clean or placing used cups/plates in the sink.  Now, he is doing more than that,  he helps me out when I take out clothes from the dryer.   Even though I can handle all of it, I often pretend I need his help and he loves it when he knows he is helping me.  Once he puts down the clothes, he calls out to his sibling, "Gorgor! Jiejie! Come! Fold!"

He still likes to use the magic clean to help me clean up, hope he is as helpful as now when he grows up.  The other day (13/July) when I saw him using it, I asked "Beanie, cleaning the house?" He said "Yes! Help Mama!"  Love his enthusiasm!
Beanie is so cheeky nowadays... Think I mentioned it before (too lazy to read the past posts), Beanie likes to play with utensils.  Once (29/06), he was playing with the utensil which I needed then, I call out to him.  He quickly put it aside and came to me.  I pretended that I didn't know he put it away, asked him where it is and told him to show me what was in his hands.  He smiled cheekily at me and said "Nothing mommy."  Haha!  He thought I didn't know and had fooled me.

@ 29 Months

♥ He pout his lips like this quite often

♥ he is able to speak in sentences, 4 to 5 words.
♥ he has the habit of clearing stuffs away even though he wasn't the one who left it there. Once I was in the rush at somewhere, he insisted on clearing the messy place before we go.
♥ ( 9/Jul)  He is able to count from 1 to 12 in English without my help.
♥ (10/Jul) He is able to wear his shoes, actually he has been doing it in school (according to teachers)  but whenever I'm around he rely on me to help him.

♥ he likes to play cooking toys, so glad I didn't give away L's cooking set.
♥ when we reach home (most of the time), he will arrange our shoes this way.  (last month I mentioned that he likes to align stuffs)
(10/07) He said " Help Bebe open." when he is unable do it.

His Little House

Beanie built this little 'house' while I was at the pool with Z.

Beanie said: House!  Bean Bean house! *means beanie's house* Show mama!

He pointed at a part and said "Door! open door close door."

So adorable!  My cute little fella built a house and not forgetting the door.

Swimming Update - Z

I have been to the pool to see Z's progress for quite some time...  Felt very guilty... Most of the time, my friend will fetch & send Z for me.  Coz during that time, Beanie needs his afternoon nap.   Today, LZdaddy was at home and I was able to leave Beanie with him.

Z was extremely excited & happy!  Even his coach noticed that!  I knew he would be happy but his response was more than I expected...  I realise now that my presence at the pool means so much to him..  So sorry my baby, mommy should have been there more often.
I am very happy with his progress after watching him today, especially when I see how enthusiastic he was.  My boy, mommy will try to be there as often as I can and I am so proud of you to be able to swim a lap without stopping at all.

二胡 - Z

After attending few lessons, my boy happily played for me for the very FIRST time!   Awww....  It's so wonderful to see him playing it! I'm sure it will be even better with more practices. Sadly, he doesn't want me to post it here.

The cheeky boy - one moment he was very serious playing it and the next, pretending that was a gun!

老二 enjoyed it the lessons very much, every week he looked forward it. This week, he was so happy to know that they were allowed to bring it home.  I'm a little worried it may be a little too much for him to handle as time goes.  Piano practices, chess & school work.... Hmmm, we'll see...

Bento #271 (2 sets) - Rice Burger

Close up of the rice burger

Love how my rice burger turned out! My babies love it too!  It tasted so yummy with seaweed added to their burger. Gonna make this again when their daddy recovers.

Peace & Quiet

No that my kiddos are learning chess, the house has been quieter.... They have been spending their time playing chess.  I'm not complaining though... Looks like it's time to get a proper chess set for them since they like it.

Bento #266 - SpongeBob

In the box & container: Tofu soup, baked chicken, edamame, grapes, orange & egg sheets for the eyes & mouth.

My boy asked for SpongeBob sometime back and finally made one for him today.  There's lots of flaws  and yet I can't exactly say what it was.  At least Z was able to tell that was SpongeBob. Hehe...

Bento #265 - L's Lunch

In the boxes: Meatball pasta, garlic bread & mango

My gal asked for pasta again co she knew mommy has too much of it in the cabinet.   Bought the ready made meat balls from Cold storage and the pasta sauce was homemade.  Recently I like as I find the bottled pasta sauce a tad too salty. Made a batch today and freeze the unused ones, much healthier.

Terrible me!  Forgot to that my boy need to stay back in school today and I made only one bento..  Felt really bad... So sorry my boy...
