Beanie @ 41 Months Old

Think I've said it before and I'm going to say it again..  Little one is growing up way too fast!  I missed his baby days...

@ 41 Months

28/06 - FRIST time he went to school without training pants!  Teacher praised him today for participating in class activities and always follow instructions.

He told me one of his classmates hit him while playing, so he complained to his Chinese teacher.  The teacher 'scold' the girl.  That was what he told me!  So happy he can relate incident in school to me!

29/06 - He was timed today on setting on chess board, 2.15mins.  He could have done better if he was not holding the marshmellow.

4/7 - He said he wants to be a doctor.  "I want to save lives!"

His favourite cartoon character for now: Fireman Sam, Thomas, Jake & Handy Manny.

11/7 - Little one didn't go school today and went to the market with me.  As we were walking to the market, "Mommy, hurry up!  Everybody buy it and we have no more fish!" Haha...  He loves to eat fish and so worried there's no more fish for him!

16/7 - Found a strand of white hair on him!
While having dinner, he said he was tired adn put his head down on the table and that's when I saw it.
Gosh!  Didn't know kids have white hair at such a young age!

15/7 - I missed his school open house!  Good thing is that he is still too young to know what it is all about.

♥ little one still sleeps with us and I will usually carry him back to his room after he sleeps.  He likes to face me and cuddle me to sleep.  I teased him one of the nights

Me:  Why can't you face the other side when you sleep?
B: Because I can't see you!

Even if I turn to face the other side, he's ok with it.  As long as he can sees me and hug me.  So sweet, isn't he?

♥ Whenever he speaks, he tries to pronounce the words correctly.  If he's not sure how to say the word, he will ask and learns till he gets it right.  Of coz when he does, he gets lots of praises!  Eg:
computer - puter
weapon - happen

♥ (A week or 2 ago)
me: Did you have snacks in school today?
B:  Yes!  I have porridge and milo
me: Sounds yummy!  Did you feed yourself?
B (guilty look with a smile) : No, 老师 feed me.
me: Why?
B: Because I don't want to feed myself.  I like her to feed me.

I went on to explained to him why he has to feed himself.

Next day, I checked with his teacher.  She was impressed that he is able to relate it to me.  Initially he didn't want to eat, so she asked if she feed will he eat.  He shyly nodded his head.  Teacher fed him and he finished all like what he told me.

Now, he is willing to feed himself and don't have to trouble the teacher.  Well done my boy!

♥ He is officially weaned off from breast-breastfeeding!  I'm already missing it...  I know he does too coz he often tells me "mommy, I miss your nai nai.."

♥ (29/05)  little one started calling "Mother" and loves it when I call him "son".

♥ Beanie: Elvis!  Elvis!  ......  (can't remember what he said)
I was so surprised he knows about Elvis!
Me: Oh!  How come you know about Elvis?
Jiejie: Mom, he's talking about Fireman Sam's friend! 

I think I ought to know more about the characters in Fireman Sam.

♥ His fav spot in the house now - my bedroom (next to bed), which used to be part of the balcony.

♥ He is very close to the brother now.  Whenever he wants to play toy or watch video, he wants Z to be with him. 

♥ (10/05) He spilled water on the floor and have to initiative to clean it up.  Well done baby!

♥ His favourite pj.  Besides comfy, he likes the colours too!  Often name me the colours on it.

♥ Little one now the legs are long enough for him to sleep like this in daddy's car.

♥ (29/4) little one is very sweet..  At my dad's funeral, he saw my mom & I crying.  He said "don't cry alot ok?" And hugged me.  His innocent talk also brought tears to my eyes.  "Why 公公 sleep inside (the coffin)?"

♥ (9/5) While we were getting into the house, Beanie complained Jiejie hit him.
B: Mama, jiejie hit me!
L: I never hit you!  I'm only playing with you!
B: Don't say never!  Say didn't!

He remembers what I taught him.

♥ He is doing well in school and able to name some of his classmates.  His bestie is Dylan.
(11/5) He told me one of the girls hit him while they were playing catching game. He didn't inform teacher so told him next time he has to.  Glad that he is able to tell me what's happening in class too.

♥ (12/5) 哥哥 took a spoonful of his food without asking and he was angry.  "Ask me first then you eat!"  He is someone that follows rules and often remembers what I taught him.  He remembers I told him when you take something that belongs to others, you must ask.

♥ (20/5) When he saw the Macdonald hello kitty toy, he said " Oh no! Kitty can't talk because she doesn't have a mouth!" So cute!

I didn't do a good job this month in recording his milestones or anything...  Haiz... My time was spent teaching my 2 older ones and also spent time at the hospital with my late papa...  Sorry my dear boy..

One thing to note down though..  He is one little cheeky boy.  The other day he told me to take pics of his funny facial expressions.  I thought that was so sweet of him coz he knew I wasn't in a good mood. Thank you my baby.♥

Beanie @ 37 Months

Little one is getting cheekier nowadays....  Giving us cheeky looks or cheeky remarks/replies. He brings so much laughter and joy to us, especially at this time when I need it most...  Well, let's not talk about it.

♥ (7th Mar) While waiting for the lift, L walked over to him and touched his head.
He turned to me and 'complained' (with a frowning look): Mommy!  Jiejie hit my head!
L: NO!  I touched your head only!
I saw what happened and told him the same thing too.
He turned around and cheekily said:  Just kidding!  Haha....
That is soooo him lately! He loves to use the phrase "just kidding".

♥ (9th Mar) His name is getting longer nowadays.  He often comes up with his ideas of how we should address him, such as Policeman hunter ZR (his name) etc.  If we don't, he will refuse to respond to us.  He latest name :  Cute cute boy fireman ZR!

♥ He loves to explain to me the different parts of the toys/lego that he fixed. I bought him a lego board so that he can fix his so called city on it and he explains what is on the board (eg police station, fire station etc)

♥ (19th Mar)  My sweet little one said:  Fireman ZR protect (and) rescue mommy!
Sometimes when we play, I pretend I am in trouble and need help.

♥ He made up a fireman song, which he changes the lyrics all the time!  Haha...

♥ I have a mini library in my car, books to keep him busy while waiting for LZ.  We read books and also discuss what we see in the pics.

♥ He is into photography lately...  He took pics of stuffs that probably he doesn't why and what are those after looking at it too.

♥ He has a favourite spot to take pics.  That is at my BIL's hse! Every week when we are there, he will go to the side of the stairs and said "mommy!  Take pic of me!"

Beanie's 3rd birthday wish -  A visit to the Fire Station!

It is definitely the best birthday gift for Beanie!  So often we read book about fire engines, the ladder, hydrants etc...  Nothing beats experiencing the REAL stuffs!  My kiddos can't stopped talking about it! Haha...

When they found out it was Beanie's birthday today, they were so sweet to go the extra mile to make it more memorable for him!  I said that coz not sure does everyone get to do these on open house day?!  They sang birthday song for him and gave my kids lots of goodies, including fireman raincoats and 3 fireman helmets!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the officers for making Beanie's birthday so special!  Thank you all for spending time to explain to my babies and making it a wonderful experience for them!  You guys were awesome! You didn't mind us staying beyond the open house timing and let them have more than enough time to explore around!   I have to tell you what my kiddos said "you guys rocks!"

For that few hours, we were able to experience so many FIRSTs!  This was not L & Z first experience at a fire station but they told me they did not explore as many things as this time.   Of all the fire-fighting vehicles, they enjoyed the Combined Platform Ladder the most!  They had the opportunity to see how it was set up, rode on it and went up a few metres high!  

His next birthday wish - A 'fire cake' (fire engine cake)! 

I wonder where he learned that from, telling me his birthday wishes...  He has all his wishes fulfilled this time and I can't imagine what his next birthday will be like.  Hope he doesn't ask for things to have/to do that is too tough to fulfill...

It was a very BIG birthday cake!  He was so excited when he saw his fire engine cake!

In the evening we went for buffet at Changi Village Hotel.   Birthday boy dozed off on the way there and woke up later to have his meal.  

@ 36 Months

♥ Love chatting with my little one, or rather, teasing him.  His reply is often so cute!  Especially when he sounds very serious when he replies me.
Recently (1st Feb):
Me: I'm so hungry!  Can I eat you?
B: Mommy, Beanie not lunch! *serious face*  My head too big to go into your mouth!  You eat me then I can't get home! *showing me a sad face*

♥ Now that he goes to school, he has more things to tell me.  Sometimes, the teacher tells me what they did and I will ask him.  He has started learning alphabets & numbers.   The other day they did a scavenger hunt  and he was so happy that he found the number '1'.    I'm not in the hurry to teach him more actually...  I hope to teach him at his own pace and he feels like it.  Looking at how much time his siblings spent on their work,  I hope to let him enjoy as much as he can now.

♥ Besides fireman, Beanie likes policeman too.  He gets excited when he sees one.  Once (14 feb), after parking my car, we saw the police car patrolling our estate.  He hurriedly got off the car so that he can waved to them.  He also likes to explain to us what does a policeman or fireman do.  "Policeman catch the bad guy.  Fireman save the fire."

♥ (15 feb) -  Beanie gave us a shock today....  He said there's a baby in my tummy!

♥ (21 feb) - little one sweet talk to me very often.  This is one of those moments that I want to record what he said, "love mommy mouth, love mommy face, love mommy nose, love mommy 2 eyes, love mommy hands, love mommy feet...." Feel so loved...

♥ For his milk feeding, he has make better progress now.  I managed to wean him off for afternoon feed and sometimes night feed as well.   I give him fresh milk instead.   But during night time, I have to hide in the toilet so that daddy can put him to bed.   Otherwise, he will give me his most pitiful look and I will give in.  At times, he says "please" so many times that I give in too.

♥ Happy Birthday my little Beanie....  Stay cheerful as always and be happy!   We love you very much! ♥ 

Beanie @ 35 Months

Little one celebrated CNY in school today. He's wearing his bro's old CNY costume and it fit perfectly! Z wore this for CNY 2007, he was 3+yr old then. Haha!  I don't have such good memory to remember when, I scrolled through my blogs to find it!

I am trying to get him to drink other milk and to stop breastfeeding him. My plan is to stop breastfeeding when he turns 3.  It is indeed a challenge to get him to quit...  He doesn't like formula milk at all... He does drink fresh milk but as soon as he finishes it, he asks for me to feed him.  Sigh...  It will probably takes some the get him to quit, especially when he is such a sweet talker.  I give in whenever he 'sweet talk' to me.

@ 35 Months

♥ (28/12) He is learning to shower on his own (he requested it) and he enjoys it.  I think he is too young but I enjoy watching him learning how to.  Very often there's lots of laughter and I think even our neighbour can hear us.

♥ Have started toilet training him (07/Jan) last month and so far he is doing good, 'accident' at times.  He was so happy when he puts on his favourite 'Fireman Sam' underwear for the first time! And he didn't wet it at all!

♥ (18/1) he enjoys doing things that takes challenge.  For instance, I received this free paper clips & colour cards (from blogger friend, Pauline), every other day, he spends lots of time practicing how to clip it on the card according to the colour.

♥ (29/12) Asked him what he wants to be when he grows up, he said "Fireman! Want to rescue people!" Needless to say isn't it?  Since he likes fireman Sam so much!

♥ Love the conversation L had with him (3/Jan).  Also, posting a video which was recorded in Dec.
L: are you a cute cute boy?
B: Yes!
L: Are you handsome or ugly?
B: Handsome boy!

♥ (4/Jan) Little one is such a nagger nowadays...  For instance, during bedtime, he was lying next to me trying to sleep.  I wasn't sleepy so played with my hp.  He nagged at me,"mommy you playing games?  Mommy please sleep."  He said that not once, but many times! Ha!

♥ I always like to ask him this and love his reply.
Me: Do you love papa or mama?
B: I love mama, love papa, love gorgor, love jiejie.

♥ (18/Jan) Little one is so sweet....  I lied on the bed and was complaining cold, upon hearing it, he said "I turn off the fan for you!"  Love you so much my little one!

Beanie @ 34 Months

34 Months Old

♥ Recently I've taught Beanie to remember our names.  I think it would be a good idea, just in case he's lost, he is able to tell others what's our names.   He did it!  He was able to remember our names!

♥ Paid for his candy for the first time (26 nov) at the cashier!

 ♥ Had his first concert but it was a disaster... (26 nov)

♥ Have been breastfeeding him till now and it's about time for him to switch to formula milk or fresh milk. Had formula milk today but he didn't like it.  He told me he didn't like but obliged to finish it.   What he said next melt my heart..  "mommy 奶奶 is the best!" "mommy, I love your 奶奶!"  How to stop when he often say things like this?   Will try it slowly and hopefully when he turns 3 we will be able to make better progress...

My little boy is growing up way too fast...  He is getting more independent that most of the time, he wants to do things on his own or I can leave him alone for quite some time so that I carry on with my chores.  Instead of him having separation anxiety, I am probably the one!  Haha...   Ironically, he has to sleep with us in the night.  No matter how many times we carry him back to his bed after he falls asleep, the next day, we often find him snuggling next to me.

He still likes to arrange his toys, be it in a straight line or in this manner.

See what I mean?  When we go for buffet, he wants to take his own food too.  Nowadays, he usually tell us what he wants to eat.

Just like most of the kids, Beanie loves Macdonald!  Burger/nuggets, corn & his milk.

He is able to tell me what happened in school.  For instance, why he got the stickers. He followed instructions and behaved and was rewarded with these stickers.  He likes to tell me what engines are on the stickers.

He still likes to doodle.  Guess what is this?  Ant! He said ant has many legs.

He tried to draw fire engine but can't do it.  So he often asks the rest to draw for him.  This pic is his favourite now, pic drawn by L.

He loves playing games with LZ.  Knowing he doesn't know how to play chess, LZ often play zingo with him.  He loves this game! A great bonding activity for my little ones.
