Bento #312 - Kodomo

In the box:  Homemade fried wantons, stir fry chicken with capsicum, melon balls and mayo in container.

We had wanton for lunch and dinner today.  For dinner, Z to help me in the kitchen.  Actually both my boys were supposed to help me this evening but Beanie fell asleep.  L was busied with her school work.

He volunteered to help me wrapped the wantons.  His first time doing it and he had fun!  My boys usually are the ones that are very eager to help me in the kitchen.  As for my girl, she would be the first if I need someone to help me finish the food!  Haha..  I know she wants to help but at P5, she has lots of work everyday from school.

National Day Celebration & L's First Outing

LZ celebrated National Day in school.  L also performed with the choir today..

Today is also the FIRST time my girl went out with her friends, without any adults.  They celebrated Kevin's birthday.  I wasn't very keen to let her go as I knew once I agreed, there will be more to come.  I admit I was selfish, I didn't want her to grow up too fast..

I gave in coz partly because I knew who they were and Kevin has been her classmate since P1.  They are a bunch of nice kids... But I didn't let her out of my sight for too long.  I 'coincidentally' bumped into them twice with my 2 boys.  Hehe... I just want to make sure they are doing ok and not making a scene at the mall.  Typical mother, isn't it?

Chess Club

 While the siblings were playing chess at the chess club,

Beanie was playing too!  Philip 'entertained' him with chess. For the record, he set up the board in 2.15 mins.  Slower than usual coz he was distracted with the marshmallow he was holding.  

His First Dental Visit

Days before dental visit, I have talked to Beanie about it.  He seemed excited but it didn't turn out that way.

He insisted Z to go first which I thought was a good idea.  At least he will know what it will be like.  It was a mistake coz his cleaning took a little longer than usual.... Sad to know Z will have to wear braces eventually..

When it was his turn, he refused to sit on the dental chair!  I had no choice but to let him lie down on me.  After much coaxing, he let the dentist have a quick check on his teeth.

After that it was L's turn.  It was a breeze for her and dentist praised her for taking good care of her teeth.

I think Beanie was happy it was finally over and he got jelly from the nurse.  I asked if he will let the dentist check his teeth again and he said yes.  Well, we will know if he means it the next time.

A Date With My Older Ones

After a half day date with my gal, I had a date with my older ones.  We went cycling!   It was such FUN to cycle with them!  ♥

After lessons

For 2 days, my boys have been awesome!  They patiently waited for jiejie to finish her lessons.

For the first day after lesson & lunch, we went for a movie!  First time without daddy!  Kind of weird without him around.  We watched Men In black!

For the 2nd day, L went for a haircut right after lesson.  We had a little celebration for her at a Japanese restaurant.  Hurray to my gal for learning how to cycle!

LZ @ T3

Kiddos had fun before Daddy's flight arrived.   This is the FIRST time Beanie played on the T3 slide.   Love how L took care of him before he went in and Z waited for him at the end of the slide. ♥

I'm One Lucky Mommy!

Have been running high fever since yesterday...  And daddy is out of town to Germany.  During times like this, I feel especially emo and feel so blessed.

My older ones help me take care of their little brother, attend to all his needs. The keep him occupied so I can nap.  And last night, little one fell asleep without me tugging him in.  My older ones cleared table, shower and went to bed.  Bliss.... 

After everyone sleep, Z came over to sleep with me.  That's what he does whenever daddy out of town.   Poor boy didn't sleep well last night.  He woke up many times to check on me.  I feel like a baby.. ♥

This morning, they prepared breakfast for themselves and let me continue with my sleep.  So sweet isn't it? ♥ Thank you Babies!  You guys rock!  And I am so proud to be your mommy! Love you all always! ♥

They Meet Thomas!

My boys are excited over the Thomas workshop!  They did a few activities and also take pics with Thomas!

And a 3D Thomas craft.  Jiejie did not join it as she finds it too kiddy and not her cup of tea!  Haha! 

The also had free photo-taking service before the workshop, and we collect these after the event. 

Picnic By The Beach

When daddy coming home late from work or when he's not in town, we often have picnic by the beach.  There are times where I find that I have more things to prepare and clear (when back home) and so tempted to say no to my kiddos.  But since they like it, I give in.

This evening we had dinner by the beach again.   What I've prepared today:  Baked rice (it was still very hot when we were ready to eat!),  bread, blueberries & ribena!  Simple and yet makes my kiddos happy!  Happy kids = happy mommy!

They ate quite fast so that they can have time to play.  While eating, we saw a few stray dogs!  We panic!  We were ready to drop everything and run for our lives!  Hee...  That's what I told my kiddos.  It seemed like they were coming towards us!  They probably smell food!  Gosh!  I was so worried!  Thankfully, they were attracted to some birds and ran towards their direction.   But our eyes were still on them till they are almost out of sight.  This was the first time we saw stray dogs in this area..

Finally, we could eat in peace and kiddos had some fun before it was time to head home...

A Day Without Z..

Z was invited to his buddy, Kieran's birthday outing.  While he was having fun with laser gun at Sentosa and dinner @ sushi restaurant,  we were out at Vivo.

L had fun driving the bumper while Beanie enjoyed shooting.

We had dinner at a seafood cafe.  The food was good!  We seldom go for seafood as Z doesn't really fancy except shellfish.

Mother's Day 2012

This year Mother's Day is just so different...

We brought my Mom's out for lunch at Ramen Play.  She seemed to age so much within this period..

My kiddos have been great.  I am thankful for the time I have with them and of coz my dearest hubby.  I can't imagine my life without them.

A Well Deserved Break

I am physically & emotionally drained....  But I know it's unfair for my kiddos to bear it with me.  So this evening brought the kids out for a nice dinner and kiddy rides..

I'm glad I did that... They had a great time...
