DIY Craft: Animal Kingdom

Little one pestered jiejie to make something for him and here's what L came up with, using those boxes that I was about to throw away.   A little tiered animal Kingdom (that's what they called it)!  L never failed to amaze me with her creativity!

See that little fly?  Well, it was Beanie's little pet...  They even gave it a leash!

Valentine's Day 2012

Pictures taken at the buffet restaurant where we celebrated our Valentine's

At the buffet restaurant, most tables were filled up by couples or couples, not at our tables.   It didn't bother us but I wondered if we did bother them.  Hehe...  We had a wonderful meal and the kids enjoyed taking their own food.

I have the sweetest & most thoughtful kids!  Feel so loved by our little ones!  They made these vanguard sheet crafts for us!  Z learned paper cutting during one of the recess (the PSG conduct random art & craft during recess) and did this for us.  And L, she has lots of ideas!   Cutting out small colored papers and did this big heart!  They bought it few days back and told me it was for their art projects and I believe them!  My cheeky little ones.
We are blessed.. ♥

With My Boys...

While L was attending a birthday gathering with her buddies...
I was home with my 2 boys...  The did some art & crafts.
While jiejie was having dinner at Swensen, we had dinner at Fish & Co. Despite a swollen eyes, Beanie was still his usual self.  He insisted Z put on the party hat...
And he said these cute characters were 哥哥 & him.

L's Abstract Artwork & More Painting..

L didn't get to do the abstract art the other day, she completed this today.   Love the colour she used!

Beanie requested for more painting to do.  I was kind of lazy to think of what to paint, so let him used toilet roll as a 'brush' to play with the paint.  Nice?  I love it!  Especially the red one! Besides using it as a brush, he used it to do stamping.  Clever boy!

Brothers' Abstract Art

Minutes before he started doing, he was jumping around.  The moment he started colouring, he was focus.  Love that! ♥
Beanie's work.  Z and I helped him cover up the area so that the outlines are more obvious.
Z's work.  Love the way did the shading... ♥

Paper Plate Fishes

A very simple craft for Beanie as I just started it with him.   He was so happy when I told him we will be doing painting.

You need:
✽ paper plate
✽ paint
✽ glue
✽ eyes for fishes ( you can use marker to draw)
✽ glue
✽ staple (to staple the fish tail)
✽ decorative material for the body
Beanie's fish.  He painted it all by himself! LZ helped him to cut & stapled it. He chose what he wanted to be on the fish.
Z's fish.  He didn't colour it green (his fav colour) because he wanted his baby bro to have that colour (baby bro's fav colour for now).  Sweet!
L's fish.  Did you noticed the lashes on the fish eye?  She added it coz she said her fish is a she!  So cute!

His FIRST Artwork From School!

Yay! Little one brought home his FIRST artwork from school! Look at little hand prints, so cute isn't it?

Every Friday, Beanie will bring home his file bag, it contains what he does for the whole week. This week is the first week! We went through the file together and he was excited when he saw what he did. This give me the opportunity to encourage him to learn to tell me what he did in school. He may not be able to tell me much now but given more time, I hope my little Beanie will be able to do that.

Beanie & I have to wait for more than 45 mins at LZ's school everyday. What does he do? He munches his snacks! My little boy has good appetite! The teacher told me he has been eating 2 bowls of rice/noodle (for the past few days) and after school, he still wants to eat! *faint*

CNY Shopping

I have to confess....  I have been spending time (minus time with my kids) on my games as well as theirs too, that I don't feel like shopping for CNY... That means shopping for 5 of us and some home stuffs.  I told LZdaddy that by hook or by crook, we have to get it done today and we did.   Well, almost.. Errr....  Half done??!!  Some things were left out coz I didn't write down a list of things to buy...

I thought it is going to be tough shopping with 3 kids... I was wrong!  My 3 little ones were quite well behaved. The times when LZ 'fight' were for our hp to play with and who go into the changing room with LZdaddy or me.   Beanie slept in the pram at times or just to be carried for a while.
When we were at the 2nd shopping mall, we saw that they had a free CNY craft workshop.  I went with L & Z while LZdaddy had a coffee break with Beanie.  They each made a fish using hongbao.  At the end of it, both were very happy except their mommy... My back was aching from bending down to help them...

Choosing clothes for L & Z are not anything like last year.  I used to pick a few for them to choose from and that's it... Now, they walk around the shop and decide what they want.  Seems like my LZ need me lesser and lesser... *sob*  Come to think of it, I should be happy... It means that I don't have to feel stress out having to decide so many things right and that they are more independent?

Craft Time

L with her mermaid & Z with his cow 'piggy' bank

Art & Craft was one of the things that LZ wanted to do during this school holiday. They have been drawing alot but that is not enough for them, they want craft works. Glad that I have these boxes of crafts for them, then I don't have to search through internet for ideas.

Spotty Cat & Dog - LZ's Artwork

Haven't been doing much lately with LZ.... That doesn't mean they have been very quiet at home.smile They kept themselves busy with artworks, ideas from L or books, they read many books, computer games and their tamagotchis.

Left is a cat done by L and on the right is a dog done by Z.

This is one of the artworks that they did which I like very much, though not like any artwork taught by professional. This also the one that they love too. Initially, Z was pretty upset coz he said his doesn't really look like a dog and he lost all the legs (that was supposed to stick to the side). So I suggested drawing some whiskers and the legs. Finally I see smile on his face again. smile Hmmm.... I think L should be a teacher or an art teacher, she definitely show interest in teaching the young ones, especially in art. Would love to take pics of all their artworks but before I could do it, they have already damage most of it.

Thank you Babies... smile It was very sweet of you two to do things on your own and let mommy have a good rest.

A Gift From LZ

A sweet little gift from LZ, which they did it on Monday for me. smile It was L's idea, using her new sandal's box cover to make this and it is very sweet of her to involve her brother.

I'm so blessed to have them by my side and to cheer up my day! Thank you my Babies!

Just when Z on the road to recovery, L falls sick. She is down with a bad cough.. Haiz... When will this stops? I am so tired.... I am glad that L has 2 days break from school due to oral exam for the P6s. At least she will be able to rest well. Babies, recover fast ok?

Their Drawings

While I was baking this morning, both were busy drawing. I was surprised with these drawing!

L drew a baby. I was very impressed with it and I actually questioned her if she trace it from the book. Sorry Sweetie, mommy shouldn't do that. She followed the instructions and it turned out so well!

This is the book that daddy bought for them quite some time ago, knowing that our babies love to draw.smile

Z drew this and he called this a 'super car' and he also called this a rocket which will fly to the outer space. smile
