We had so much FUN just cooking fried rice! We may have a helper at home to help me with the cooking (honestly, I rather cook it myself coz my helper is more of a hindrance than help), but I like my kids to learn to cook as well.

Great to have little helpers at home :)
It's good if kids can cook simple meals. They can be independent and self-sufficient. Don't have to always look out for helper or mommy whenever they want something.
I should encourage my kids to do so too. But it's quite a chore to supervise.... cooking the meal ourselves would be quicker, and tend to go this route!

Yes, sometimes I rather make it fast and so tempted to chase them out of the kitchen but on second thought, I told myself I better let them be since they have the interest in it :P
