Sniff Sniff & Cough Cough

It has been a terrible weekend for Z. He has been having fever since Thursday, the highest was 39.8C! He didn't attend school since then and of coz the school celebration for National Day. I think he couldn't be bother with it too when he is sick. Z may be sick but I was glad he has the energy to play with jiejie and even do his homework.

I am so glad that LZdaddy was around to help me, especially on Friday morning. L went to school for only 2hrs+ and he was there to pick her up so that Z can rest.

It has been tough for us for the past few nights. I appreciate LZdaddy for helping out for most nights. Thank you my dear hubby. We had to sponge Z as his fever was so high and Z preferred me to sponge him coz LZdaddy prepared the water that was too cold. Once he fell asleep, I went back to my room to sleep coz my back was aching and LZdaddy stayed with him throughout the night.

He was fine yesterday afternoon(though fever was on & off) and while watching the parade on TV with us till he got worst in the evening.... He was down with very bad sore throat, cough and flu. The medicine we have at home is not making feels any better. LZdaddy wanted to bring him to the Doc but it was raining. When it stopped, he fell asleep. We finally brought him to the clinic this afternoon after L attended the church National Day celebration. Doc said Z has very bad throat infection and that's why the fever comes on and off. He said the fever will go off once his throat infection is cleared. Now he is given 5 types of medicine and antibiotic.

It seemed like it wasn't bad for our family, LZdaddy's car was knocked by a irresponsible driver. We found out when we were on our way to send L to church this afternoon. He knocked LZdaddy's car till the front number plate was 'ripped' off and drove off! We were glad to meet one kind hearted person who quickly note down the culprit's car number plate and he wrote a note and stick it on our car. LZdaddy immediately went to make a police report and hence we delayed Z's visit to the clinic. LZdaddy didn't want me to go clinic now that I am pregnant. So sweet hor?

Z has not been eating well lately and he asked if we can go out for dinner tonight. We decided to go Mushroom Pot, thinking that he likes it and soupy stuff will be more appetizing for him. When we placed our order, his fever came back, so LZdaddy fed him fever medicine and he fell asleep on my lap. So throughout the dinner, Z was sleeping on my lap and he didn't eat at all. When we stepped out of the restaurant, he woke up and his fever subsided. We asked him if he wants to eat and he said no. Nevertheless, we bought bread just in case he feels hungry when he gets home.

L commented that we have not been going out lately.... I know Sweetie... Please understand that your brother is sick now and we will go out when he recovers ok? My girl was looking forward to the long weekend and to have fun with us. She was no doubt disappointed but I am glad she is understanding and helps us keep Z company whenever we want to take a break or busied with her stuffs when we are tired. Sorry Sweetie.... Mommy will spend as much time as I can with you ok?

Just before I starts writing this post, Z fever went up again, 38.5C. I immediately feed him fever medicine. I will have stay awake to check on him so that LZdaddy can have a good rest as he will be working tomorrow. I am worried coz his fever has been going on for 4 days. Let's hope no more fever tomorrow.
